How do I get a good read?

One card, straight on. Fill the frame and avoid glare. No camera? Upload a JPG or PNG.

Is the condition read a grade?

An estimate of centering, corners, edges and surface, so you can judge a card before sending it to PSA, BGS or CGC. It is not a slab grade; an in-hand grader may see more or less.
